UFO Progress Pictures

We are slowly getting these rugs around the country & en route back to their homes. Life has happened to some of the girls hooking and delayed their progress a little. We all completely understand unexpected illness' and other tragedies occur to each of us so we are being patient while awaiting our next rug to arrive in the mail!

One Completed Rug Arrives Home

After a trip to & fro across the United States Mimi's Rug arrived home!

She likes it I guess, which is good because a few of us were willing to adopt it for life!

Mimi said....

Ladies, how do I thank each of you? I received my finished rug today from Kelley, and well, to tell you the truth, it brought tears to my eyes! This rug is so much more beautiful than I could have ever made it. My husband couldn't believe how wonderful it looks!!

I think I speak for all of us when I say it was a pleasure Mimi!

Isn't it fun to see their progress? I am currently awaiting 2 coming my way to hook next week.
It seems that a few other online groups have started their own UFO'S by hooking their own UFO that has been lying around & posting pictures of their progress too! Way to go girls!

UFO Challenge...have YOU seen one?

Earlier this summer, around the beginning of May, I asked the ladies if they had any Un Finished Objects (patterns/rugs) that they would be willing to mail off on a sort of 'Round Robin' trip across the country.

Twelve women signed up to participate with nine sending a pattern on the road.

They were encouraged to send a journal with their rug to document it's travels.
Each Hooker was asked to take a photo of themselves with each rug when they finished hooking their portion.
A few of the ladies were great sports and have done so, some were camera shy & only took pictures of the rugs and a few have not sent a photo to date.
At the end I hoped to have a visual diary to send the participants of their rugs journey along with a finished or almost finished rug.

Each participant was to hook about a 4 x 4 area based on the size rugs that were requested and if you wanted to hook more or a little less that was okay.

We are about halfway through with the rugs travel and I thought I would share some of the photos of each Rug as it started it's journey.
